At least we now know to demand that the City of Albany fix the lights at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial! I really enjoyed my discussions with you Ward 2 folks.
Sunday, OCTOBER 5th: WARD 3
3pm to 5pm — Van Rensselaer Park
I had a fantastic discussion with a SUNY Albany student about the effectiveness of community policing, followed by an hourlong visit by a dude named Jeff—one of the city’s consumate cyclists! Thank you boys for coming out.
Monday, OCTOBER 7th: WARD 4
6pm to 8pm — Arbor Hill Park
I’m ashamed to say I’d never before been to this facility, and the park is absolutely lovely. A few passersby stopped to chat; their experiences are a world away from what I have to confront just down Lark Street. Thanks for cluing me into problems to which I’d otherwise be oblivious.

Thanks to Chelsea for introducing me to how absolutely privielged I actually am. Sheesh! I can’t even believe that Ward 5 has rents as high as the $1,200 without utilities that she has to pay for a part of the city she feels is dangerous. She’s leaving Albany because of housing costs; that’s an absolute tragedy.
